This is a super warm unisex Golden Fleece peacoat.  It is heavy thick wool with an insulated quilted nylon lining.  The coat has the Golden Fleece label from Spiewak.  This is not a new Spiewak Golden Fleece Peacoat but one of the originals that have been recently resurrected by Spiewak.  The coat is a size 36.  If I had to give an age, judging by the estate, I would say probably 1960's possibly early 70's.  Maybe you can zero in on the date better than me by looking at the label.  The coat is in very good condition.  There are no moth holes or any odd odors.  There is a short area of wear on the inside of the button placket that is not at all visible from the front.  I will be certain to photograph this area.  The coat has two deep flannel lined slash type pockets on the exterior.  The coat is double breasted and can be buttoned from either the left or right.  There are also buttons higher up under the collar so that it can be buttoned up to keep your neck protected from foul weather.  Along the front each side has two buttons, and strangely three button holes.  It does not appear to ever have had the third button sewn on to either side.  The buttons have anchors on them.  This definitely appears to be a vintage Naval issue peacoat.    Spiewak made durable high quality uniforms for hard working folks in the military as well as police officers for well over 100 years.  The label sewn inside is black and gold silk with the words Golden Fleece and the signature Spiewak winged ram, Chrysomallos.

The following measurements were taken with the coat buttoned closed and laying flat on a table.
