Welcome! You just found the best watch straps out there!

This is probably not the first time you're looking for a watch strap. That's because it's really hard to find quality straps. All straps are handmade in NYC out of high quality cowhide and lambskin. Cowhide is used for the visible top side of straps. Its durability and ability to patina over time makes it the ideal choice for the top coat. Lambskin is used on all skin-touching surfaces because of its soft and supple feel. It's SO SOFT - REALLY!!!

Our goal is to offer you watch straps that reignite your love for your timepiece AND last.

Offered here is my Style B strap. This style is by far the most complex and time-consuming to craft. It also happens to be the most beautiful in my opinion. After 12 years of making straps, this one stands out among the lot.

Leather Colors: Your choice of brown or black cowhide on the top-facing side. All straps have black lamb skin on back side touching skin to offer a super soft and comfortable experience.

Stitch Colors: to match the leather color or white for contrast stitch.

Inner Strap Dimension: 11mm. I've found after over a decade of collecting and restoring trench watches that 11mm is the ideal width. Rarely is 12mm needed - this is typically the overall outside dimension of the lugs, with a clear dimension of 11mm. Straps are about 2mm thick. Overall length is approximately 10 inches.

Outer Strap Dimension: Straight portion is 32mm. The imaginary circle that your watch will sit in is approximately 45mm. Overall length is approximately 6 inches.

Buckle: Nickel buckle.
Antiqued brass and antiqued 'white' metal available for a charge upon request.

Shipping: Free domestically unless negotiated otherwise with buyer; $10 internationally.

About Us: big.business.time is obsessed with vintage watches. We focus our collection on military watches from WW1, both American brands like Waltham and Elgin, as well as Swiss made trench watches and a special fondness for Borgel cased examples. So great is our love for trench watches, we make our own period correct straps in multiple styles. Please see our other listings. In addition, we love vintage watches from later decades up to the 1960's, tracing the evolution of the wrist watch from a military technology to an everyday accessory. Our emphasis is mainly in no-name brands for everyday wearing, but also include a focus on Gruen and Tissot watches. Lastly, our obsession includes chronographs from the 40's-60's. Our approach to repair is almost exclusively sympathetic, meaning that we will service the movement and leave all of the patina of the dial and cases untouched. We do not polish our cases, or have on very rare occasions. In most cases, the original crystal is retained and if needed only hand polished (plastic crystals only). Our preference is to retain as much of the patina of the watches that we acquire. Cases are cleaned of dirt and grime, crystals are buffed (if possible) and dials are only minimal touched, if at all. For big.business.time, this is the true essence of vintage watches and we hope you share in our enjoyment!

Thank you for looking!
