DESCRIPTION: Here is a pair of late 19th century Plaue, Germany (Thuringia) porcelain male and female street vendors  selling birds which look very much like pigeons and wearing blue and white 18th century style clothing. The female is holding an open bird cage while the male has a bird in each hand. Both marked to the base with blue painted hash. Date between 1890 to 1900.

SIZE: The figures measures 12 cm high. Weigh 340 g before packing.

CONDITION: The front foot of the male has a small manufacturing firing crack as in picture 9 and minor age related gilt ware.
