250ml of Metal-Tec10™ will treat approximately 5 litres of oil (at 5% ratio) as an additive FOR ALL ENGINES - petrol, diesel and hybrids - with or without turbos. Metal-Tec10 contains no PTFE, silicone, graphite, moly or other solid lubricants, so is suitable for use in VVTi engines and other engines utlilsing high pressure engine oil to actuate other engine functions. Make sure you clean the V V T Solenoid filters once a year. Metal-Tec10 is safe to use in engines with catalytic converters or DPFs.

Add Metal-Tec10 at the rate of 5% by volume to any oil or grease to reduce friction, heat and wear and increase efficiency. No need to displace the oil - just add Metal-Tec10 to the engine oil in the sump. Metal-Tec10 offers superior protection for your engine, with no build up or change to tolerances.

Metal-Tec10 flattens metal surfaces to increase lubrication and reduce drag (friction). There are many other oil additives on the market that act in a similar way but, unlike the others Metal-Tec10 contains no chlorinated solvents and is PH neutral, protecting the metal surfaces against acid erosion which occurs when short-chain chlorinated hydrocarbons mix with water droplets and moisture to form hydrochloric acid. Metal-Tec10 contains no PTFE, silicone, graphite, moly or solid lubricants and is neither acidic nor alkaline, just pure petrochemical halide blending.

2 words needed: brilliant and amazing. Used this for over eight years now and in so many applications. Now I just take the view that if there is either oil or grease needed, then it would be very limited without MT10. This gives me insurance and assurance that whatever will not wear out, produce less friction less heat and last for as long as needed. This has saved many thousands in repairs, replacement and maintenance over the

WHAT IS AMETECH METAL-TEC10?

Ametech Metal-Tec10™ is an advanced technology, anti-friction lubricant additive, consisting of a blend of the highest quality petrochemical products. TRANSMISSIONS

One of the biggest enemies of a transmission is heat. The amount of heat present in the system will normally dictate the lifetime of that transmission. When Ametech Metal-Tec10 is added, heat is significantly reduced. Metal-Tec10 addresses the extreme-pressure (EP) areas, such as planetary and worm gear systems, along with bushings, bearings and shafts.

VALVE BODY OPERATION: In many cases presented by professional transmission builders, Metal-Tec10 has freed the valve body and maximized performance with no recurrence of sticking or intermittent hang-ups.

GOVERNORS: As most transmission builders are aware, there are certain governor systems that have unique tendencies to hang up for no apparent reason. Two reasons these hang-ups occur are contaminants and microscopic spiking of the metal due to electrolytic corrosion of the metal. Ametech Metal-Tec10 will displace contaminants and smooth and seal metal surfaces, removing electrolytic spikes and preventing their formation.

HOW DOES AMETECH METAL-TEC10 WORK?

Carried to the moving metal parts by the fluid to which it is added, Ametech Metal-Tec10™ creates a boundary film which smoothes and seals metal surfaces to reduce friction and friction-related heat. This results in less wear and smoother operation of the mechanism with no danger of build up or changes in tolerances. The end result is improved operation of the system.

Ametech Metal-Tec10 improves the overall tribological properties of the metal surfaces. Film strength is a function of surface roughness and viscosity. The smoother the surface, the higher the film strength, while viscosity can be lower to improve fluid flow conditions.

Ametech Metal-Tec10 treated surfaces will increase fluid film strength, reducing friction, heat, wear and energy consumption. This returns efficiency and previously wasted energy back to the system for increased power. This process, combined with the physical surface improvement of the metals, steps up oil flow, reduces metal film strength, improves the shear strength of the base lubricant, and results in an overall reduction in friction and friction-related wear.

TEST RESULTS

"Wear testing has been completed on your six samples using ASTM method D2783-88, Measurement of Extreme-Pressure Properties of Lubricating Fluids (Four-Ball Method). The test method is used to differentiate between lubricating fluids having low, medium, and high levels of extreme-pressure properties. Three steel balls are clamped together and covered with the lubricant to be evaluated. A fourth steel ball is pressed into the cavity formed by the clamped balls for three point contact. The temperature is brought to 18.33 to 35°C, with a rotating speed of 1760±40 rpm, then a series of tests of 10 second duration are made at increasing loads until welding occurs.

Values are obtained for weld point (the load in kilograms at which the rotating balls welds to the three stationary balls, indicating the extreme pressure level of the lubricants-force has been exceeded) and load wear index (load-carrying property of a lubricant – the average of the sum of corrected loads determined for ten applied loads immediately preceding the weld point) for each sample identification. Additional sheets attached show the individual load results for each material.

Repeatability of the test is such that the difference between successive results obtained by the same operator with the same apparatus under constant operation conditions on identical test material would, in the long run,  in the normal and correct operation of the test method, exceed the following value only in one case in twenty: repeatability = 17% of the mean value. The Muscle product (MT-10 Engine Treatment) did not weld at the highest load the instrument was capable of running, so the load wear index for it is an approximation. It has extreme pressure levels much higher than any of the other samples.” (December 22, 1993)

HOW MUCH METAL-TEC10 DO I NEED TO USE?

Ametech Metal-Tec10™ is extremely concentrated and effective even in small quantities. Add 5% Metal-Tec10 by volume to transmission oil, i.e. 50ml to every 1 litre of oil.

Metal-Tec10 can also be applied directly to parts while rebuilding and can be sprayed in a fine mist directly onto the parts you want it to reach or sprayed onto greases to facilitate blending.

For Hydraulics - Add 25ml Metal-Tec10 to every 1 litre of oil.

One Litre of Ametech Metal-Tec10 will treat approximately 20 litres of oil. This contains 250ml of Ametech Metal-Tec10™ which is sufficient as an additive to 5 litres of oil.

IMPORTANT: Metal-Tec10 should not be used in CVT gearboxes. CVT (Constant Variable Transmission) oil or fluid improves the friction/grip between rubber/metallic belts and alloy/composite pulleys, whereas Metal-Tec10 reduces friction between metal-on-metal components, spool valves & spindles lubricated by ATF (automatic transmission fluid) in automatic transmissions. As these requirements are opposed, neither ATF nor Metal-Tec10 should be used in CVT rubber/metal belt transmissions.
