The 1958 Chevy Impala was bought by Norman Petty of Clovis, New Mexico and given to Buddy Holly so that Buddy could have a reliable form of transportation from Lubbock to Clovis, NM. Because Clovis is where most of Buddy's songs were recorded. It's a little funny but if you want to see what a piece of junk the 1958 Chevy Impala was go to You Tube and type in: buddy holly's 1958 Chevy impala and go to the Chris Walker version, it will be the first one that appears. E Bay won't let me put the link in. Any way if you go to about 1.50 seconds into the video and the junk yard owner is saying with a little bit of paint this car will be just like new. You will laugh. Their is only one picture of Patricia Holly in the year book. Shelf # 7.
