Mentha Longifolia also known as Horse Mint, Wild Mint is a species in the genus Mentha native to Europe excluding Britain and Ireland, western and central Asia, and northern and southern Africa. It is a very variable herbaceous perennial plant with a peppermint-scented aroma.

Nicholas Culpeper's Complete Herbal (1653) book recognised Mentha Longifolia centuries ago for its health benefits.

Preparation

Pour fresh, boiling water (2dl) over one teabag of Horse Mint. Cover and steep for 5 minutes.

Consume slowly while the tea is still fresh. Try not to sweeten.

Consume 2-3 times a day. Recommended course length is one week.
