How our jewelry is made:

We start each piece of jewelry by carefully sorting through hundreds of gems to find the best looking and internally cleanest gemstone that we have.

Once the gem is selected we touch up some of the faceting to ensure that the gem will look fabulous once it is set.

Our setting process is what makes us different than most other jewelers.

Rather than burying our gem in a chunk of metal we carefully wrap it in a form fitted gold wire.

Once the gold is shaped we solder it in place around the gem. This is a tricky thing to do because there is a chance that the gem will break.

If the gem breaks we have to cut the gold off and begin the process all over again. We are fortunate to be making jewelry for over thirty years so we make more than we break, but anyone can have a bad day.

I hope that this has helped shed some light as to why our jewelry costs what it does.
