All brake calipers are carefully tested on the following points:

Piston is free to move with no seizing

Bleed nipple is free to enable fluid bleeding

Handbrake lever is free to move and also springs back to "off" position 

Old Brake pipe is free but kept to prevent dirt egression during transit
