Pylon Swivel Bushing

This auction is for one removable plastic bushing (white piece).

Please read the details below and make certain that this is the correct bushing for your application prior to purchasing.  Mastercraft started using this style of pylon on the late 80's Prostar 190 and the design has remained the same until the 2013/14 model change.  It was used on the Prostar 190, Prostar 205, Prostar 195, Prostar 197, 205v, Barefoot 200, and X-Star.  This bushing is also be the correct size for most of the factory Mastercraft towers but please verify the dimensions of your old bushing prior to ordering.

Again, just to be clear this auction is for one removable plastic bushing (white piece) and not the complete pylon or aluminum pylon cap.  Pictures show the new white bushing on some of the different Mastercraft pylon styles.


These have been test fit to several different Mastercraft boats including my 1994 Prostar 205, 1989 190 Prostar, 1992 190 Prostar, 1998 Prostar 205, 1991 Barefoot 200, a 2001 X-star with ZeroFlex Tower and a 2012 Prostar 197.  The bushing will fit the early single bolt-in-the-middle style pylon as well as the multi-bolt studded looking pylon cap (which is still a single thread in the middle to hold the cap on the pylon).  Please double check your application and dimensions.

The bushing on my 94 205 had seen better days and I was determined to find an improved solution.  As a mechanical engineer, I was very careful about the dimensions and tolerances to ensure a perfect fit.  For the material, I selected Delrin due to its excellent wear and durability.  I partnered with a local machine shop to obtain a bushing with a precision fit and excellent machined finish that fits and looks every bit as good as the OEM bushing.

The bushings measure approximately 1.19 inches tall and are Ø2.44 inches in diameter at the bottom (largest diameter).  The pylon post that the bushing pivots on will measure 1.0 inches in diameter.
