Image 1 above is a photo made with my digital camera of an original 17-1/2 x 22-1/4 inch lithograph showing the late screen legend Boris Karloff in seven of his most popular film roles. Image 2 shows how the print looks framed and matted in a 25x31-inch black wood frame (available ready-made at Michael's). The lithograph was made in 1980 in a series of 300 by a New Jersey print shop using my original (larger) pen-and-ink drawing. Each lithograph is signed and numbered by me, Martin Timins, the artist. Warning: In 1980, unfortunately, I did not know about acid-free paper. My prints will turn brown over time if subjected to direct sunlight. But I have found that the paper does stay nice and white (even after 35 years) if kept out of sunlight. So either keep the framed print away from direct sunlight or use special UV glass or plexiglass with the frame.
I have sold these at film-fan shows in New York City and New Jersey. My work has appeared in Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine. Note: The Karloff print is one of 12 lithographs that I am listing on eBay. The others include Fred Astaire, Humphrey Bogart, Lon Chaney Sr., Errol Flynn, Henry Fonda, Cary Grant, Paul Newman, Laurence Olivier, Vincent Price, Frank Sinatra (smaller size) and Shirley Temple. IF PURCHASING MORE THAN ONE LITHO, PLEASE WAIT FOR A COMBINED INVOICE SO YOU DO NOT PAY FOR MULTIPLE POSTAGE.
For U.S. sales, because each heavy mailing tube costs $3 and postage is now $4.50, shipping is $8.50, including $1 for handling.
For foreign sales, $3 is added to cover the cost of the heavy tube. The first-class international postage depends on the distance.
