I own a specialty advertising company, now in our 45th year - and I was in the industry for many years prior to establishing my own firm.   We are now in the semi-retirement stages and I am offering our somewhat unusual advertising pieces collected over the years.

One of my better suppliers of a wide variety of plastic goods was a company located in Alabaster, AL.   Among the items in their line was this nice serving pitcher - glass set.

Here are details:

The pitcher features actual illustrations form a vintage Montgomery Ward sales catalog.   At the time, such catalogs were the Amazon of the day, especially for rural locations with little access to actual stores.   Among my favorite offerings:
*   Portable shower bath for just $3.00.
*   Peddle car suitable for children 3 to 5 years old at $5.48.   Shipped "Taken apart to save you freight.  Easily put together".
*   Handy superior gasoline iron for $4.75.   You know that has to be safe...
*   A bit of fashion - Stylish Square Veil at $1.10.   Postage one cent extra.
*   Powered Dancing Floor Wax.   A one pound can just .25 cents.   What a deal!
*   More fashion - Blouses and Bloomers for $1.78 and $1.48 respectively.   I'm old, but never wore bloomers.   Come to think of it, never wore a blouse either:)
*   An automotive accessory -  Door opening side curtains.   For your roadster $8.45 and for touring $14.95.   Now while I never wore a blouse or bloomer, I did own two cars with side curtains.   My first sports car I purchased for $500 while in college was a 1955 Austin Healey 100-4.   In my senior year I sold it and bought a 1960 Austin Healey 3000.   Both of these fine British vehicles had bolt in side curtains.   In fact, some lowlife stole the ones from my 3000 one night.   What kind of person steels a guys car windows???

As you can see, this is a most interesting serving pitcher conversation starter.   Fairly large as it holds 82 ounces / 2.5 quarts.   It is 9.5" tall and the removable lid features three positions:  Closed, pour and strain.   The set includes four 7 ounce glasses.   As mentioned, it was made in the U.S.A. - Alabama to be exact.

This was a sample I purchased for this supplier probably over 25 years ago, it is in as new condition.   Of course it was never used.

What an excellent addition for anyone who perhaps collects such unusual memorabilia.

It is from a smoke-free, pet-free climate controlled environment.

Only $22.00 for this unusual set!!!
