This is a surface mount to be installed over the field tile (semi-flush) and not flush with it.
There is about 3/8 inch overlay on the surrounding field tile.
Depth needed for installation is 1/4 inch from finished surface
Projection from finished surface is 3-1/8 inches.
This ceramic toilet paper holder has been stored in a New Jersey warehouse for many years; remember these are vintage glazing to an earlier time so they come with minor manufacturing flaws which gives it an authentic vintage look.
