Four pages from the Life Magazine June 28, 1943.  The War Souvenir Issue.

A full page ad "In War or Peace B.F. Goodrich First in Rubber".  This ad promotes synthetic rubber, and tells how War Bonds pay for the synthetic rubber used by our military.

On the second page is an ad with the headline "Losing your 'heart'...Thanks to dry scalp?"  It promotes Vaseline Hair Tonic which with 5 drops a day can give you handsome-looking hair....it's so easy  (Wink, to get the girl of your dreams.)   "That's the ticket to well-groomed hair every minute of the day."

The third page has an ad, "submersive activities, eh" that tells the story of Melting Ice confronting a Detective, the D.A. and the Judge.  The crime melting ice says, "it's the soda's fault...." the loss of bubbles.  Luckily there is the "pin-point carbonation" of Canada Dry "for longer-lasting zest".  Tag line, "Buy the big bottle-save money-conserve caps"

Page four has an ad for "Yello-Bole...the honey-cured smoke. Surely,...an old friend. Perhaps you discovered this pipe with the golden lining in 1933.

These War time ads tell of a time past, with some problems, such as "getting that girl", that haven't changed, and others that now seem quaint (flat soda).

The size of the page is 14" x 10.5"

I put extra care in shipping. The page will be sent in an archival, glassine envelope, protected by layers of chipboard and sealed in a poly envelope.
