As every Oil burner is different in size and some will hold more wax than others.

When using oil with the oil burners water should be added to the burner first this will help dilute the oil
We cannot make this clearer enough overfilling your burners bowl with wax is very dangerous.
Overflowing Wax Can Cause a Fire.
