Up for your consideration is a vintage 34+ year old color print of Friedensreich Hundertwasser "The Rain Falls Far From Us", an unusual find from an vintage art portfolio. The Offset lithograph was printed in 1986, in Switzerland, and by Imprimeries Reunies S.A. Lausanne-Renens The Japanese Woodcut this print is made from was printed in 1972 and Published in 1975 One of five woodcuts in the portfolio Midori No Namida Unique for anything but original Lithographs The Artist Supervised the design and production of the porfolio to his standards. Five and Six color printing Techniques were used to reproduce faithfully the metallic tones found in many of his works. It measures approx. 10 3/8" x 8 1/8" and is pre-mounted on black Premium heavy weight paper and comes matted ready for framing.
Technically,
our Hundertwasser prints are reproductions but not all
reproductions "are created equal". These are rare, vintage lithographs
produced in 1986, after the original lithographs and were distributed as
a portfolio. They are not modern nor digital reproductions (using
modern technology). They are not widely or infinitely available nor can
any more be produced. As such, these are an affordable alternative to
the original lithographs (running typically in the $1,000's) for
collecting and decorative purposes.
This print is professionally matted (White Core Bevel Cut Acid-Free Black or White Mattes 4-ply thick). The matt measures 8'' x 10'' (inside/window) and 11'' x 14''(outside). This matt was selected to fit standard frames
