DESCRIPTION:
For sale and just in time for the upcoming Halloween costumed 'fright night,' is this really fabulous vintage children's sized, cowboy or cowgirl brushed suede leather vest, with a decorative studded leather Sheriff's badge and studded falling fringe on the top of each shoulder and cut-out suede, steer decorated lower pockets. The bottom edge of the suede vest also has falling fringe trim. The vest and similar suede chaps and a cowgirl's brushed suede leather skirt were all found in the same estate and were produced by the John R. Craighead Company of Denver, Colorado, most likely in the mid-1970's to mid-1980's, making them about 35 to 45 years old. The vest is in great shape, considering its age and vintage pedigree and looks to have been seldom worn or worn possibly only on Halloween or at a celebratory birthday party for a young cowgirl or cowboy. The brushed suede leather is still supple and soft and the yellow ochre and chocolate brown colors are still vivid, saturated and largely undiminished. A sewn maker's tag is present. Studs finish the trim and decorative affixed vest's accessories. Great.
