It's only a tiny difference in thickness but it makes all the difference with the feel. As they're slightly thicker than a normal set of 9s they will give you a louder, brighter tone and will push you amplifier a bit harder. These are also great for weening yourself up to a heavier gauge! The nickel wound strings are set to last for a good length of time and they feel great on the fingers. The individual thicknesses are: .0095, .0115, .016, .024, .034, .044
