This is a color-matched set of 6
original unpainted figures and/or accessories in 6 different poses/shapes - our choice, based on
availability. We will not send a ladder without a climber, but you may
get a climber without a ladder. We will not send a boat without a
paddler, but we may send a paddler without a boat.
The professional soldier is exemplified here, tackling those duties best suited to the highly trained commandos. All are dressed in combat outfits, with berets and cloth caps. The 14 poses include an inflatable rubber raft plus a commando to paddle it, a soldier looking to throw a rope and grappling hook, a commando climbing with sten gun slung across his back and a scaling ladder which the climbing figure fits on. The Britains plastic accessories shown in the photo are not included in the set you will receive. They are there just to hold the figures in place for the photograph.
These retired figures were produced by Matchbox in 1983. These were sculpted by the great English artist, Bill Farmer. They are filled with action, and so highly detailed that even decades later they still compare favorably with such state-of-the-art manufacturers as Conte, Expeditionary Force and Toy Soldiers of San Diego.
Please note that you will only receive six (6) figures in this lot. We will choose the figures, based on availability. The figures will be color-matched.
