I own an advertising specialty company - now in our 45th year I am happy to report - and worked in the industry for many years prior to establishing my own firm.   Over the years we collected many and varied sample with assorted advertising logos. I am now selling much of that collection via eBay.  We sold many wearable, including a lot of caps - hats.   I was recently going through a box of old cap samples and happened upon this nice and somewhat unusual cap. In the 1990's one of our better suppliers of custom headwear was experimenting with different techniques to decorate goods.   One such unusual and striking method was to employ a technique they called "Liquid Metal".   Rather than just simple screen printing or embroidery, with this they used a genuine melted metal and fused it to the cap.  The result was a 3-D brilliant finish.  Most striking!  The piece was a special limited run sample and the sew-in tag indicates the factory industry designated number, 75945, the affiliated industry number, 133496, the sample number, Custo4-24.   I am not sure how many were produced, but I think the run was short.   The blank is in 100% cotton and made in China.   It is in a very rich black color, however, my photos tend to make it appear much lighter than in actuality.  This is a sample I purchased several years ago and it has been in one of our sample rooms in a closed container. As indicated, this was a salesman sample, although apparently I never showed it to any client.   It has never been used. We also had a wearables supplier who specialized in taking the imprinted tee shirt to a new level.   After the tee was printed, using a proprietary technique, the supplier would then compress the shirt into a unique design.   Here is a sample with the shirt in the shape of a motorcycle!   How unique and clever!!! The shirt is in a full size XL, and I assume has the same imprint shown on the printed insert - Xotic Motors.   It appears they were located in one of my favorite cities, Las Vegas, but no longer in business. What a super find for anyone associated with motorcycles, or just a collector of unusual headwear and tee shirts. ONLY $22.50 for BOTH unusual items!!!
