Vintage Early 1950s J C Higgins Parts Bicycle Frame Classic Tank Red Reflectors.

Here's a find! Don't know much about these but what little research I have done thus far indicates possibly a 1953 based on the serial number. But I came across lots of conflicting/confusing information. Apparently J C Higgins technically had more than one manufacturer. This one was probably made by Murray, not by Huffy if I understand correctly. Name plate on the front says Sears Roebuck, Made in the USA. Stamped on the bottom:

MOS-Q 508 288 "XXX" (illegible) 200513

Main parts missing are both wheels (not sure on size), one pedal, multiple reflectors, and chain.
