This BEAUTIFUL KENNETH J LANE " Necklace, and the earrings were created as part of the Kenneth Jay Lane's Sophisticated Lady collection for distribution by Avon in 1987. The Necklace has DEEP MESMERIZING EMERALD GREEN RHINESTONE EYES gazing out of a FABULOUSLY Crafted RAMs' Faces & Clear Rhinestones accenting the Horns. It is constructed with two strands of Smooth, Reflective Black/Gold-tone beads. Each segment, except for the first and last, are Five Black Shiny Beads (approx.10 mm.) separated from the next segment by a  (6 X 5 mm.) Gold-tone spacers, which are vertically lined resembling pumpkins. The spectacular three (3-D) dimensional Gold-tone clasp of two nose-to-nose Rams' Heads (mirror images) sculpted in 3-D in Shiny, Smooth & textured Gold-tone metal with close attention to detail. The Clasp Ram heads are full head three dimensional sculpts of the Earrings, which are side views. The  head most closely resembles that of the Big Horn Sheep. The region of the forehead is realistically shaped, convex and bulky and finished in Shiny Smooth Gold-tone metal. This contour is because the rams fight for dominance by head butting and the bone structure of the skull helps to absorb the major force of impact. In addition, the overly large and curled horns, which may weigh more than 30 Lbs. in real life, start on the apex of the head and both twist and curl, such that they arch upward and back and curve forward beneath the chin and up over the cheeks and back again. The front curve is embellished with three Crystal Clear Round Rhinestones. The horns are finished in Shiny Smooth Gold-tone metal and ridged, as in real life, and the ears, also Shiny Smooth Gold-tone, are small in comparison. The face, beneath the forehead, is finish in linear striated textured Gold-tone metal and sculpted with a long face and prominent muzzle. This BEAUTIFUL KENNETH J LANE  Single Hinged Bangle/Bracelet is finished with a Smooth Reflective Black Enamel criss-crossed with Gold-toned lines creating a diamond pattern around the sides of the bangle. The inside of the bracelet is finished in Textured Gold-Tone. The hinged construction allows for easier use in putting on and taking off the bangle. The two arms of the bracelet arise at the hinge on the back and extend up and around overlapping, with the rams' heads from the eyes to the mouths sitting side by side. Unlike the Rams of the necklace and earrings, the Bangle Ram sculpture appears to be based on the Spanish Nubian Ibex. The head/face is long and thin with a Gold-tone accented nozzle/mouth & ears. The eyes are Bright Orange-gold Crystal Rhinestones  outlined in Gold-tone. The head lacks the prominent forehead of the necklace and earrings. The horns are those of the Ibex but have been altered/embellished to add artistic details to the bracelet. The Ibex's horns are long, arched & tapering with toward the tip; with transverse ridges (giving the impression of being twisted). Unlike many ram horns, the horns of the Ibex and of the Brooch curve in only a single plane rather than corkscrewing. The horns of the bracelet are true to form from their origin until they make contact with the neck. The real life horns would end at this point, but those of the bangle curve upward making another loop. CONDITION:  Note: Under magnification or on photography, scratches, flaws, or wear of the finish; and chips, yellowing or darkening of the rhinestones and cabochons may be seen, which are not visible to the naked eye. In the photography, there may be some areas of reflection and darkening, and slight alteration of color due to lighting.

KENNETH J LANE Excellent Vintage Condition Necklace. The finish on the Strands of Smooth Black & Gold-tone beads with a Spectacular Clasp (2 gold-tone Ram heads) shows no wear or loss. The Clear and Emerald Green Rhinestones are intact and appear original with no defects visible to the naked eye. The Necklace measures 30" in length (without the clasp); and has a 2 1/4" long & a 1" wide Clasp. There is a good and secure working, hidden fold over and lock closure, with the open loop on the Bead side and the fold over lock beneath the end Ram's head. The Black Beads are approx. 10 mm. in diameter; the gold-tone beads are approx. 6 X 5 mm.. The Necklace is signed KJL(Kenneth J Lane)for Avon in a cartouche on the back of the the lion head with the hidden clasp. 

KENNETH J LANE Excellent Condition "Like New" Bracelet/Bangle. The Black Enamel and Gold-tone finish are in Excellent Vintage Condition with no defects to the naked eye. The Hinge is in secure and in good working condition. The Orange-Gold Rhinestones are intact and appear original with no defects visible to the naked eye. The Bangle is oval shaped to allow a better fit to the wrist and to aid in keeping the focal section on top. The Bangle side to side opening measures 2 1/4" and front to back measures 2". The bracelet should easily fit a wrist of 6 1/2" to 7 1/2" wrist.. This is signed KJL (Kenneth J Lane) in a cartouche on the inside of the Bracelet/Bangle.  

CONDITION:  KENNETH J LANE Pierced EARRINGS: Excellent Vintage Condition. Please note dark areas in photos on the face are reflection. The front Shiny Smooth and Textured Gold-tone finish is excellent. The Crystal Clear & Emerald Green Round Rhinestones appear to be all present and original. The back of the Earrings are finished in textured Gold-tone in excellent condition. The posts and backs are in good secure working condition. The Earrings measures 1" in maximum width; and 5/8" in maximum height.  Each Earring is hallmarked on the back of the body "KJL(Kenneth J Lane) for Avon" in a cartouche.
