DESCRIPTION:
In outstanding, well-preserved condition, with no noticeable abrasions, flea-bites or loss on either of the finely carved, crawling, meandering vine hardwood handles. The brass nutcracking body is also free of deep abrasions, dents or dings. This most likely Indian made, mid-20th century vintage brass and carved wood nutcracker, would be a lovely addition when entertaining and serving family, friends and invited guests healthy, unshelled nuts. The interior triangular spoked teeth found on the inside of the large and small nutcracking bays are without damage and all the teeth are present and as originally constituted. There's only a bit of dark discoloration embedded on the inside of the teeth's bays, evidence of prior use. The finely carved, highly decorative handles were moisturized with 100% organic teak oil to replenish the wood's natural moisture. The brass was wiped down with oil and gently dried but not chemically cleaned or polished. A very handsome and ornate, highly decorative entertaining accessory. A veritable work of art.

CONDITION:
Good to Very Good overall vintage condition.
