This is one of several “design qualification” units built and used for testing. It contains several board modifications, but is fully functional. It can deliver 600W peak RF power and was characterized from 26-30MHz. Since this unit was used for performance testing... this new design and was subjected to design limits, no warranty is offered or implied. This is a fully functional unit that has all wiring available for an ON/OFF switch, SSB relay delay switch, power indicator LED, and transmit indicator LED. These items are not included but can easily be hooked up. The wiring functions are clearly marked on the board. This amplifier has high gain and maximum power input is 25W-PEP. Exceeding this drive level will damage the LDMOS power transistors. Fan-forced cooling may be necessary for higher duty-cycle operation.
