SUPERB SET OF 3 HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE HAND COLOURED GEORGIAN BIRD STUDIES IN ORIGINAL FRAMES c1805

A superb set of three attractive bird etchings by William Home Lizar (1788-1859) after illustrations by William John Swainson from Sir William Jardine's Naturalist Library.

The subjects are:

  * White Plumed Shrike

  * White Bellied Fly Catcher

  * Yellow Bellied (or Cape) Bunting

The contemporary faux tortoiseshell frames are in excellent condition for their age.  The etchings were  "Styled and framed for Gimbells, Philadelphia Pennsylvania" according to original labels on the back of each frame.

Please see the attached photos which are an integral part of this description.  All items are described to the best of my knowledge, however I usually don't state the obvious as this can be seen from the numerous photos provided.

As can be seen from the attached photos the set of etchings and framed are all in excellent condition.

Please appreciate that all items are antique/vintage/used and therefore are likely to show varying degrees of age related wear and tear.  If you want to ensure 100% pristine condition may I suggest you look to buying new.

If you need any additional information please contact me before proceeding with a purchase or bid.
