Vitabiotics Ultra Red Krill Oil provides 500mg of pure Krill oil, a special source of Omega-3 with a high concentration of marine phospholipids so may be better utilised in the body than standard Omega-3 found in fish oil. Vitabiotics Ultra Red Krill Oil provides essential fatty acids for the normal function of the heart, brain and vision all within an easier to swallow smaller capsule with no unpleasant fishy odour, taste or aftertaste.
As well as Omega-9 fatty acids, Vitabiotics Ultra Red Krill provides Omega-3, a rich source of the essential fatty acids DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid).
EPA and DHA are classed as essential fatty acids because they cannot be made efficiently by the body and must be obtained through the diet.

The Omega-3 in Ultra Red Krill Oil has been shown to have the same benefits as fish oil Omega-3 which supports normal heart and brain function, but with better efficiency due to the presence of phospholipids.
Research indicates that phospholipid bound Omega-3 fatty acids may have greater bioavailability for cell growth and functioning, compared with Omega-3 triglycerides3.
Vitabiotics Ultra Red Krill Oil takes the Omega-3 phospholipid form, rather than the Omega-3 triglyceride form found in fish and cod liver oils.
Phospholipids are key structural components of our cell membranes, which are involved in the transport of molecules across the cell membrane. Ultra Red Krill Oil provides Omega-3 in phospholipid form, mainly as phosphatidylcholine, which means it is more easily transported across cell membranes to where it is utilised.
Omega-3 phospholipids follow simpler digestion and distribution routes in the human body. Simpler digestion in the small intestine before absorption is one of the possible reasons for the greater uptake of Omega-3 phospholipids in the human body compared with standard Omega-3 triglycerides.
Vitabiotics Ultra Red Krill Oil and the environment
Ultra Red Krill Oil is a pure, natural source of Omega-3 providing EPA and DHA as well as Astaxanthin. Harvested in the Antarctic, Krill Oil is pollutant free, with presence of natural Astaxanthin giving the oil a deep red colour.
The presence of Astaxanthin also helps to keep Krill oil stable without the need of additives, protecting the beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids from becoming rancid due to oxidisation. Consumers can feel assured that they are choosing the highest quality form of Omega-3.

Items posted international are posted with Royal Mail Standard International, Royal Mail Tracked/Signed service or one of our selected couriers depending on the service you choose at checkout, value and weight of your order. Items are dispatched (Packed and handed to Royal Mail or our selected courier) the same day as long as purchase is made before 1pm UK time Monday to Friday. Items posted international usually take 3-5 days within Europe and 7-10 days outside Europe with Royal Mail. Items can however take up to 3 weeks if there are delays with the post.
