"The Dutch Swing College Band - 100 Years of Jazz’ returns to an era when the wonderful music was born, featuring a comprehensive collection of traditional jazz standards.

All tracks are analogue recordings completed in one single session. The tunes ‘Soprano Mood’, ‘Strange Peach’ and ‘Doghouse Blues’ were written by Peter Schilperoort, the founding father of the Dutch Swing College Band, and was first released in 1948. The opening track ‘Original Dixieland One Step’ was on the first 78rpm jazz record ever released, back in 1917.

Master Reel To Reel Tape copies available in two options:

1. Highest studio quality 2 track at 38cm/sec (15" per sec.), on one 10.5" reel. These are transferred at the original Master tape speed and offer the original studio sound as the musicians and engineers heard it.

2. High studio quality 2 track 'half speed' at 19cm/sec (7 1/2" per sec.), on one 7" reel. Very similar to the highest speed, losing a little micro-detail and dynamics. The ideal way to experience Master Tape quality of tape machines not offering 15" per sec. speed, like most Revox A77 and B77 reel to reel tape.

Note: All tapes IEC biased and without Dolby noise suppression, to be as close to the original recording as possible. IEC biased tapes are perfect to play on Teac, Revox, Tascam, Studer, Sony, Philips, Grundig, Akai, Uher and other biased machines.

The tape is tailed out. Before playback please rewind the tape first. Make sure that you clean open reel to reel tape recorder heads regularly for optimal frequency response. not, you may send your item(s) back to us within 14 days for a full refund

working days. Goods must be returned in their original condition and the
