Ann Padlo (1937-2000) was an Inuit artist and elder from Nunavit. Originally from Pond Inlet, Nunavut, she had the distinction of being
the first Inuit Broadcaster for CBC. Daughter of Joe Panipakoocho, the
RCMP Inuit guide aboard the St. Roch during its historic 1940-42 voyage
of the Northwest Passage, Annie was on board the vessel
during part of that expedition.
