These are brand name American Olean tiles.
These tiles are
4-1/4 inches by 4-1/4 inches by 5/16" thickness.
Using my digital calipers tiles measure 4.28" wide on the self-spacing lugs and .31" thick.
Measuring on the square edge: 4.25" wide.
These tiles have self-spacing lugs; little bumps on the edges that separate the tiles for grouting.
Using a American Olean tile color chart from the 1990's: Matte Black #99
