If your paint is listed as DIRECT GLOSS then you wont need lacquer, this paint will dry with a shine.
If its not a DIRECT GLOSS, then you will need lacquer - if your purchase dosen't include lacquer then you can purchase below.

Prep is so important in particular primer.
The primer you pick is based on the surface you are spraying on to:
Typically if you are spraying onto:
Plastic - you will need to plastic primer and the grey prime (so 2 different primers)
Metal - you will need an etch or epoxy primer
Rough scratched service - best to use a high build primer that you can sand back smooth
Over old paintwork - if the lacquer barrier is still intact it's not necessary to prime, if you are through the lacquer to paint then just grey prime.
