Application This is an old 8 CYL dual-point distributor # 648-A My used on the  299 cubic-inch Lycoming eight-cylinder engine that delivers 72 horsepower Delco Remy catalog shows this distributor as being O.E.M for: 

• 1925 Apperson
• 1925 1926 Auburn Model 8-88
• 1926 Elcar Model 8-88
• 1925 1925 Gardner 8-cyl 3-H 8-H
• 1925 1926 Kissel 8-cyl         

Condition See photos Pretty nice used condition for its age Assume it will require restoration with new points condenser and rotor It has not been tested Only see one thin crack in the Pot Metal on the lip See photo Rotates well opening and closing both sets of points Delco Remy tag shows a little wear Has the rotor but does not have a cap The wrecking yard listing on the outside of the Distributor appears not to be correct
