Amazing drawered end table by A. Brandt comprised of solid ranch oak with Acorn Brown finish. Wonderful vintage condition. The top has been refinished and minor repairs have been made. WOW! What an awesome ranch oak end table by A. Brandt!! This drawered end table is comprised of rustic solid ranch oak with an Acorn Brown finish that is signature to A. Brandt Company furniture. Acorn Brown was made by applying an oil stain before sealing the wood. After lacquering, Acorn Brown wax was applied. This end table would be the perfect addition to your western style living room, holding a lamp or collection of books in a rustic sitting area, or it would be wonderful in your cottage abode as a side table beside your favorite chair…the perfect spot to set a cup of coffee or a cold drink! But be sure to use a coaster so you don’t harm its beautiful finish. It has a sturdy frame with ranch oak stretchers at the base of all four legs and a convenient drawer for small items. The tabletop has the simple Ranch Oak carved design, and the all-over woodgrain is outstanding. It is compatible and very versatile.

A Brandt Company was established in 1900 by German immigrant August Brandt. But it was Paul Brandt, August’s son, who engineered and debuted the Ranch Oak furniture in Fort Worth, Texas in 1938. Paul served as company president for approximately 50 years. The production of the Ranch Oak line continued until the mid-1980s. It was used in ranch homes, mountain homes, dude ranches, and basement rec rooms across the nation. The US government contracted Ranch Oak furnishings for many of their military bases. And it was used by National Park lodges plus roadside motels for its attractive, durable, rustic type of décor.
