Commonwealth of Massachusetts Report

on the Examination of the Accounts of the

Metropolitan Transit Authority

From January 1, 1957 to December 31, 1957.

Published [Boston, MA], [State Auditor’s Dept.]

Aug. 7, 1958

A fascinating look at the financial and statistical information of the Metropolitan Transit Authority showing numbers for everything from salaries, pay toilets, subway debt, new construction, names of the Board of Trustees and General Officers, cash in bank, etc., etc., etc.

The Report has a spiral binding with heavy stock paper covers, measures 9 ¼ x 11 inches, 59 pages plus numerous tables of financial and statistical information.

On August 3, 1964, the MBTA succeeded the MTA, with an enlarged service area of 78 cities and towns.

Light shelf wear to extremities and faint soiling to covers, official State Department stamp on front cover otherwise in very good condition.

A scarce MTA Report, it will be an interesting addition to your reference library.
