Red & White Sode Hadagi Kimono Kitsuke

This is a lovely one-piece hadagi in white cotton. This is the undergarment worn with a kimono. The sleeves are a red & white floral print in a synthetic fabric - probably rayon. The starch in the collar has yellowed from long storage (doesn’t show when worn under a kimono) but it is in otherwise perfect, never-worn condition in its original package.

These are not normally sized in Japan because the length is not considered very important. It wraps and ties at the waist and is intended for a person of average proportions.

NOTE: These listings are all vintage stock from a huge lot of traditional Japanese items from a shop in Kyoto that sold kimono accessories. Most were produced in the 1960’s - 1990’s. Some are unused, like new or have stains or other damage so examine the photos and read the description carefully before purchasing to determine the exact condition of this particular item and its value to you.
