Mitten Shiro 200g


Mitten Shiro is Shiro (ground chickpeas) mixed with Berbere, shallots, red onions, ginger, garlic and bessobela (sacred basil). This is used to make a popular and very healthy Ethiopian/Eritrean dish called Shiro Wet. The Shiro Wet is usually served atop injera (a low gluten free sourdough flat bread of fermented Teff grain). It can also be cooked with dried Injera to make a dish called Shiro fir-fir. Shiro Wet can also be served with any kind of bread, crackers, and can also be used as a pasta sauce, salad dressing etc.
