Fitting a replacement antenna to a vehicle can be difficult, although there are various standards around manufacturers can use them differently and sometimes even ignore them altogether. For this reason, we have a range of extension and adaptor cables to help make your antenna install as easy as possible.

The required lead will differ depending on the connector on the device you're fitting, the connector on the stereo or vehicle you're connecting to, and the length of cable required to reach between the two. Where possible it is best practice to connect everything with one cable, however, in some instances, you may require an adaptor and separate extension to make everything fit.

This adaptor will convert a SMB (F) connection to a MCX (M) type used in many sat nav units including: Garmin iQue - Garmin Nüvi, Garmin Quest, Garmin Streetpilot, Navman, VDO MS 2000, TomTom 510, TomTom 710, TomTom 910, TomTom ONE and Blaupunkt Lucca.

Fitting advice

Although some of our products may seem simple to fit we do always advise that you have them installed by a qualified fitter and wait to receive the item before making arrangements for the fitting of the item. We also advise that you contact your insurance company to ensure the modifications you are planning to make to the vehicle does not void your policy. We can not be held accountable if you are not a qualified fitter and you damage the item in any way, if you have booked the fitting before receiving the item or if you do not inform your insurance company of the modification and your insurance is voided.
