Available for immediate purchase is this profoundly rare, 1940s vintage, made in France, unused with some evaporation and internal plug intact, guaranteed original and authentic (S.D.A Number: 1077), Jicky Lotion Végétale splash in a generous 4-ounce (120ml) size by Guerlain. All photos were taken at 40x magnification to best highlight overall item condition. The buyer will receive the exact item pictured.

This bottle is in excellent condition for its age. The face paper label has some light aging. The paper SDA label is completely intact at the base. The clear fragile enameled “Net Contents” label (just below the top cap) still shows the volume but much of the lettering has worn away. The silver-tone top cap completely retains its shine with no tarnishing. The original contents remain magnificent in coloring – light and clear with no floaties, cloudiness, or murkiness. This item is a must-have for the serious Guerlain Jicky collector.

Information about the Lotion Végétale concentration:

Lotion Végétale generally refers to a vegetable oil that has been infused with perfume oil. Guerlain marketed its Lotion Végétale for unisex use and it was available in 10 scents. Ladies were directed to generously apply it to their hair after shampooing for a lingering scent and to stimulate the scalp. It also was recommended for use prior to hair curling to reduce brittleness of hair ends. Guerlain advised gentlemen to use Lotion Végétale as an aftershave lotion and general grooming product. Lotion Végétale was described by Guerlain as a “light-yet-lingering fragrance” and, during the latter 1940s and mid-1950s, a bottle of Lotion Végétale was the exact cost as a bottle of real perfume.

The House of Guerlain was owned and managed by members of the Guerlain family from 1828 to 1994. It was acquired in 1994 by the LVMH group, a multinational investment conglomerate.

Originally launched in 1889, Jicky is classified as an aromatic spicy-citrus scent and features top notes of
lavender and citrus (bergamot, lemon, and mandarin), middle notes of orris, rose, and vetiver on a base of patchouli, vanilla, amber, and musk.

Return Policy

My goal is for you to be pleased with your experience. Please contact me via eBay’s messaging system and I will take proper care of you. To qualify for a full refund, the seller must receive the returned item in the exact condition in which the seller originally sent the item. Returns with usage, damage, or leakage caused by the buyer (i.e. ruined boxes and/or labels; broken or tampered-with cording, stoppers, and/or seals) do not qualify for a full refund. In the extremely rare instance where the seller has reason to believe the original contents were either altered or removed/replaced by the buyer then no refund will be provided. Buyers who abuse the return policy or falsify item condition will be blocked from future transactions and reported to eBay.
