Nepenthes Maxima, The Great Pitcher Plant is a highly variable species with a wide distribution across South-East Asia. Maxima produces long, elegant pitchers with vibrant red spots, stripes and mottling. The peristomes are narrow, elongated, and begin lightly colored and striped with red bands, but later transform to a deep, uniform, crimson red.

Nepenthes seeds are very delicate and fine.


Germination Instructions:

Sow seeds a top Pure 50/50 Peat-Perlite or Pure Spahgnum Peat Natural Fiber - No Fertilizer Soil. Aim for atleast 90% humidity to germinate. Misting regularly after cotyledons emerge careful not to soak soil. You should provide 10-14hrs of sunlight daily or the equivalent in grow lights. Fertilize lightly with Maxsea ≤75ppm after pitchers emerge from seedlings.
