Proper steel boned corset sizes are in waist measurement of the actual garment. 

So you need to measure your waist then deduct 2 or 4 inches depending on how tight you want the corset. 

ADVICE

if your new to tight lacing you should be purchasing 2inch smaller than your natural waist.
