Sôichi Negishi is a young boy who likes delicate atmospheres and Swedish pop ... Yet, the height of the paradox, he is the unleashed singer-guitarist of DMC (Detroit Metal City), a Death Metal band. Made unrecognizable by an outrageous and provocative make-up in the manner of the group Kiss, supported by the two other members of his group, he scours the independent Tokyo music scene by vociferating demonic imprecations against a background of rowdy electric guitars. The young girl he is secretly in love with, and whom he tries to conquer, hates Death Metal. Sôichi, torn between his natural delicacy and his role of "emperor of darkness" of music will have to manage as skillfully as possible his double life to have a chance to seduce the chosen one of his heart. But life is complicated and the equivocal situations that will follow will make his chances of success very improbable ...
Negishi is defeated, he must give way to Krauser first of the name. This one takes hold of his guitar, his fans ... in short, his glory! The boss can't take this any longer!
We are witnessing the conclusion of this fight between the two Krausers, which will keep us in suspense until the middle of this seventh volume, and so overall the passion is no longer the same as it could be at the beginning of the series, although we are witnessing a certain redundancy of the gags, we also live, and fortunately, still great moments: Negishi living in collocation with young artists in the making, dreamers, until the boss sends him psychopaths so that he remembers who he really is! The whole giving rise to a report reminiscent of a horror film ... perhaps the most hilarious passage of this tome. Unless it is about this metalhead walking completely naked in the general indifference, nobody recognizing him… to die of laughter!
Once this phase is over, we find the short stories on a single chapter and despite some fears the author still manages to renew himself and offer us new things, such as a visit to a totally delirious hairdressing salon or even Krauser appearing in front of the younger brother of Negishi only to prevent him from losing his virginity before his elder ... grotesque but terribly funny situations. What works a little less are certainly the scato gags that occur with Deazm's return.
A good tome that proves that the series still has many things to offer!
