When should it be replaced?

• Symptom for Disk Drive 1541 II : spindle motor runs continuously and green LED stays ON or BLINKS.
• Symptom for Disk Drive 1541 C : spindle motor runs continuously and red LED stays ON or BLINKS . Compared to version 01/02 this version (03) in the 1541C disk drive fix the startup chatter (tak-tak) of the head

Quando deve essere sostituito il CHIP originale?

• Sintomo per floppy disk 1541 II : il motore del floppy disk gira continuamente e il led verde rimane sempre acceso o lampeggia.
• Symptom for Disk Drive 1541 C : il motore del floppy disk gira continuamente e il led rosso rimane sempre acceso o lampeggia. Rispetto alla versione 01/02 questa ultima versione 03 se montata nel floppy disk 1541C risolve il problema iniziale (rumore tac-tac) presente all'accensione
