Art Nouveau Rambervillers Pottery Vase

Date: c.1905

Lustre Glaze.

This is an Art Nouveau pottery vase from the Rambervillers Pottery in the Vosges Department of North East France. The twin ' funnelled ' vase is in a blue/grey gold iridescent lustre glaze . The two funnels are linked with an arched handle above a globular body.The markings on the underside are unusual. (See below under Marks for the details). 

Dimensions:

Max. Height to top of handle - approx. 16.3 cm. (6.4 inch.).

Max Width between 'Funnels' - 16.0 cm. (6.3 inch.).

Diameter (Depth) across bowl - approx. 12.7 cm. (5.0 inch.).

Weight: 720 grams.

Marks: Impressed on the unglazed  underside across the centre is 'REFLETS METALLIQUES RAMBERVILLERS (VOSGES)'. Above and below this is the same oval shape and impressed within is 'UNIS FRANCE'.

Condition: No damage or restoration. The iridescent glaze varies throughout reflecting the different metals used.
