Description: Simply put, this is one of two of the greatest pieces of ABA (American Basketball Association) history we have seen related to a game program.  First, while this is a regular 1968-69 Indiana Pacers program which could have been for any game, it was specifically used, scored, and scored correctly along with specific important notations as well as the included original newspaper article from the next morning.  Information is contained in this program on the cover and in the scoring section which would be lost except that this person meticulously recorded it.
Perhaps most significantly, Hall of Fame member Roger Brown has autographed the cover, where he is pictured in action, in thick black felt marker and his signature would rate a Gem Mint 10 out of 10.  This program was for the first game of an ABA doubleheader played at the Indiana Fairgrounds Coliseum on March 3, 1969 between the Houston Mavericks (later the Carolina Cougars and the St. Louis Spirits) and the Oakland Oaks (later the Washington Caps and the Virginia Squires).  The Oakland Oaks won 140-134 and despite holding a 20 points lead after three quarters, the Oakland Oaks were outscored 45-31 in the fourth quarter in a furious comeback by the Houston Mavericks.  12 players scored in double figures including Gar Bradds (32 points), Ira Harge (20 points), Jim Eakins (19 points), Warren Jabali (16 points), Larry Brown (15 points), Doug Moe (10 points), Bob Verga (33 points), Tony Jackson (26 points), Keith Swagerty (21 points), Steven Kramer (17 points), Stew Johnson (17 points), and Arthur Becker (13 points).   Henry Logan, John Clawson, Russell Critchfield, Mel Peterson, Kendall Rhine, and Hank Whitney accounted for the balance of the 35 points scored.  Information not available in the newspaper or on Basketball Reference such as uniform numbers, starters, players who fouled out, and technical fouls were recorded on the scorecard.
Without question, this would be the toughest program to find for the Oakland Oaks 1968-69 ABA Championship season and the Roger Brown autograph alone makes the program easily worth the value.  The person who purchases this program will be able to exclusively decide if they would like to share the contents.  We guarantee that this signature of Roger Brown will pass both PSA/DNA and JSA.
