One genuine German vintage bureau / writing desk folding blotter.
Made of leather, and bound around all edges, I understand this blotter dates from around or prior to WW2.
Beautifully embossed with the large Coat of Arms of Hamburg on the front of the folder, with the front and back inner covers lined with a rich bronze coloured material, incorporating a selection of sleeves for documents or loose papers. There are 14 sides of unused blotting paper inside. The inner blotting paper pages are held with stitching which is completely intact.
This folder was found in my elderly parents house whilst clearing it for sale.

My father spent some of his wartime service stationed near Herne in Germany. Inside the folder, I found a letter from a family in Herne addressed to my father dated November 8th 1946, and also a Document from the UK War Office in London dated 14th October 1946 regarding a Wartime Decoration for my Father approved by His Majesty The King, King George V1 (neither of these are included in the sale) which is my reasoning for dating as described.

It is in lovely undamaged condition, with no deep scratches or damage to the leather. There are a few very minor marks from storage which adds to its genuine patina which is commensurate with its age.

It measures 15" by 12" closed.

Please examine the pictures carefully to ensure you are satisfied with its condition.

A unique opportunity to acquire a genuine piece of German memorabilia for historical / display purposes.

I will send this item by Tracked Courier within the UK, and send it WORDWIDE via the Ebay Global Shipping Program.

 Any questions, please ask!

 Thanks.
