This is a fantastic antique lithograph
of an aquatint dry point etching that was enhanced with hand painted watercolor details:
lips, cheeks, dress trim, dog's bows, bracelets.

The work is signed in ink by the artist Jean Hardy whose pseudonym was "F.J.Henri" -
French artist from the same genre as Louis Icart, who helped to promote the vast scope and
variety of "BOUDOIR" style of aquatint dry point etchings. So admired by European audiences,
it crossed the Atlantic Ocean to satisfy a much larger American market providing the new styles
of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements just beginning to emerge

in the early 20-th century.

The print measures 26"tall by 20"wide and is in good antique condition.

There is staining to the image.  Please view the pictures (6,7 and 8) and feel free to ask questions.

The original black with gold trim wooden frame with glass
measures: 27"tall by 21"wide.
