This listing is for a used LW Scientfiic CxR horizontal centrifuge. This unit was salvaged from a hospital lab. It can be switched on, and the power indicator works, as does the timer dial. However, the centrifuge does not start up and spin.

Description of fault:

When I switch the power on, the green "run" light comes on along with the blue "power" light, even though there is the timer set to zero. After a few seconds, an alarm will sound, which only goes off when I open the lid using the green release button on the right side. After reclosing the lid, the same problem will recur.

The centrifuge will not spin, however, even if I set a time on the timer to start a spin.

In need of further diagnosis and likely repair. It is being sold AS IS for parts or repair only.
