Wargame Tabletop WW1 28mm German/British Steamer Kit “KINGANI” “HMS FIFI” model kit. Suitable for East Africa Colonial Campaigns or any other scenario steam punk Victorian etc.

You are buying a basic “garage” home kit from hand cast and printed resin parts. The boat resembles the German Steam Boat KINGANI or HMS FIFI as used on Lake Tanganyika in the First World War East Africa.

HMS Fifi was an armed screw steamer, captured from the Germans by Royal Navy units during the Battle for Lake Tanganyika, and used to support Anglo-Belgian operations on the lake and its surrounding areas. She had previously been operated by the Germans under the name KINGANI named after the river. Fifi, now rearmed with a 12 pounder to the front and the original German 6 pounder to the aft, along with the Mimi, a Thorneycroft River Motor Launch, is famous for their action on the lake when they engaged the German gunboat SMS Hedwig von Wissmann 9 February 1916, severely damaging her.

The kit comes with the option to have it as HMS Fifi or Kingani by simply swapping the guns around, full instructions are given for the both options, another option is to magnetise the parts needed and that way you can have either boat.

Measures 295mm in length and 55mm breadth. Assembly required and would advise using super glue for parts. Kit comes as unpainted. You may find some small imperfections that will need filling or sanding. Painted models shown is only an impression and reference for what you can achieve with it, rope and railings not included as shown. Resin colours may vary.

A small dingy or row boat is available as a separate listing if you want to add it.

Also for sale in a separate listing are the Thorneycroft River Motor Launch sold as a resin and resin printed unpainted kit.
