Offered here is a beautiful vintage Uzbek embroidery - long suzani - Zardevor from Tashkent. It was made in 1980's. This wall hanging should be fixed close to ceiling - on the upper part of a wall in a guest-room. The foundation of embroidery is natural cotton velvet. Embroidery is made of natural silk threads. The pattern consists of varied rich blossoming motifs. The fabric is great for upholstery and pillows.
Suzani is a type of embroidered and decorative tribal textile made in Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries. Suzani is from the Persian Suzan which means needle. When you look at a suzani, the first impression is one of vibrant colour, warmth and energy. The design frequently includes sun and moon disks, flowers (especially tulips, carnations and irises), leaves and vines, fruits (especially pomegranates), and occasionally fish and birds.Here we offer extraordinary Uzbek hand embroidered hook work ,chain stitch suzani (normally done with a fine tambour hook that’s much like tiny crochet hook) made in Nurota one of the region Uzbekistan. An unbelievable amount of time and care goes into the making of each piece.
