SHOW BUSINESS ILLUSTRATED (or "SBI," as it was also known) was a very short-lived (12 issues) glossy magazine, created by Hugh Hefner in 1961, as a companion magazine to Hef's more successful  PLAYBOY magazine.  It was definitely dissimilar from other movie & TV celebrity magazines of the day, in that it treated its subjects with a sophistication and intellectual style, not to be found in any other similar magazine of the period -- which, quite likely, was its downfall.  Most readers of 1960s movie & TV magazines wanted gossip, outrageous story titles, and "the lowdown dirt"; but SBI treated its subjects as artists, and not targets.  By early 1962, SHOW BUSINESS ILLUSTRATED was gone; but, occasionally, a few rare issues pop up, like this one!  Contents:
