I have here for sale a book entitled THE HOLY BIBLE, according to THE AUTHORIZED VERSION with NOTES, EXPLANATORY AND PRACTICAL; taken from the most EMINENT WRITERS, including Sir Isaac Newton. With 7 engraved plates. Published in 1823 Rivington, et al, London. 

Isaac Newton (4 January 1643 – 31 March 1727)[1] was considered an insightful and erudite theologian by his contemporaries.[2][3][4] He wrote many works that would now be classified as occult studies and religious tracts dealing with the literal interpretation of the Bible.[5]

Newton's conception of the physical world provided a stable model of the natural world that would reinforce stability and harmony in the civic world. Newton saw a monotheistic God as the masterful creator whose existence could not be denied in the face of the grandeur of all creation.[6][7] Although born into an Anglican family, and a devout but unorthodox Christian,[8] by his thirties Newton held a Christian faith that, had it been made public, would not have been considered orthodox by mainstream Christians;[8] Scholars now consider him a Nontrinitarian Arian. In 2019, John Rogers stated, "Heretics both, John Milton and Isaac Newton were, as most scholars now agree, Arians."[9][10]

This volume starts with the PROPHETS and runs through to Maccabees plus Compendious View of the Jewish History.

Bound in full leather boards. Gilt title lettering to black blocks to the spine, this is worn. Board edges are worn. 1 of the plates has been drawn on. Title page and general introduction pulling. Foxing throughout. Sold as a reading copy. 30cm x 24cm.

Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped. 

To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my eBay account. You can then request a combined postage cost and I will combine the items into the fewest parcels as possible - saving you money :)
