Offered here is a beautiful C. 1902+ porcelain domed serving tray by Erdmann Schlegelmitch, Germany.  It is in beautiful condition for its age.  Made before 1918.

THIS IS NOT A BUTTER DISH.  IT IS LARGER!

It's original purpose, on a Victorian table, was for serving  English muffins and pancakes.  You can use it to serve so many other things as well.

The tray portion measures approx. 9 1/2" in diameter and is about 1 1/4" high.  The bottom of the dome measures approx. 7" in diameter.

Together, both pieces are about 5 1/2" tall to the top of the knob.

There are not any chips or cracks and the gold is in very good condition with little or no wear.  The only thing I see is couple of minute flakes on the bottom of the unglazed dome which I mention only for full disclosure.  It is unusual to find both pieces to a set like this.

Please check out all the pictures provided carefully as they are part of the description and show the item and its condition.  You are getting the item shown, as shown, as is.  If you have any questions please ask.  Do allow me time to respond as I am not always on the computer.

My items are from estates, auctions, consignors and other such venues.  They are not new.  I am very fussy about what I offer on ebay.  I tell you everything I know about an item and what I see.  However, I am not an expert in anything.

PayPal is accepted and I only ship to confirmed addresses within the continental United States.  All shipping includes tracking and USPO insurance.  I package very well.  In case of damage the buyer agrees and is responsible to open the claim with the USPO for reimbursement.  This can be done by taking the item and its packaging to the USPO or going to the USPO site on-line.

Thank you.
